"Hello Sadness"

Updated on June 30, 2011

You came and paid me a visit

And you laid your head to rest

You sat their quietly

Without any words to express

I turned my head slowly

And greeted you with hello

You came and paid me a visit

Without any type of warning

You caressed my face with love

And held me till the morning

I rose from the slumber you placed

With silence I came out of

You came and paid me a visit

I embraced your beautiful face

And all it had to say

I whispered a Hail Mary full of grace

Again you placed me down to lay

And I greeted you again

“Hello sadness” this time you’re here to stay

De, Thanks a mill, Sadness is an emotion that I wish wouldn't visit me as often and when it does I have the bestest people in my life that will cheer me up in a heart beat.

Bellawritter, Lovely emotionally revealing expressive poem! SHOO to the sadness and Hello Sunshine! I pray that the face of sadness readily flees and turns to a face of JOY that stays around for awhile!

Thank you for sharing, Peace & Blessings!

A very beautiful hub, and so close to the brink and pulling back too. Nothing lasts forever, even sadness. There is always better days to look forward to, Bella. Even when we can't see them - they are there. I hope you are seeing them already. Wishing you the best! You're a great writer! :)
