Money Rules.

I am saddened by the current and ever increasing desire for more more more. People are never happy with what they have. They seem to be focused solely on earning more money, often working longer hours at the expense of quality family time. Both parents work so they can afford a bigger mortgage on a fancier house and fill it with all the latest appliances whether they are needed or not e.g. a T.V. in every room, multiple games machines, the latest smart phones though their previous ones were still fine and only a year old, etc etc.

Big business and banks are only concerned about the size of their profits increasing and lining the pockets of their CEOs and shareholders, not the consumer. The majority don't seem to care about their fellow man or the environment around us. Our litter and waste is creating huge problems and destroying large areas and our fellow animal inhabitants. Many more people around the world are in poverty than well off and it seems the rich just get richer and the poor poorer. If every millionaire in the world just gave 1% of their income to fighting homelessness and poverty and it was directed to the right places by honest Governments and organizations the problem could be solved.

But we can all do our bit by not letting greed and the need for more more more control our lives. Buy only what you need, use less electricity and fuel, stop being so wasteful. Give just a little of what you have to the less fortunate. Buy a coffee or a sandwich for the vagrant man or woman sleeping on the park bench, donate a little to a needy charity when you have a surplus, help out or donate to a thrift store or soup kitchen once a month. Just care! It will "help save the good life."

Help Save This Good Life.

Help ensure our powerful nations

Enlist due care and ministration.

Let them show deliberation,

Protect our God's superb creation.

Some of us build our life's collection,

And seemingly without restriction.

Vainly seeking accumulation,

Every one needs some distinction.

These same lives now need dissection,

Heavy burdens need reduction.

Issues need a new direction,

So not to aid this world's destruction.

Greed and power ensure election

Over the need for education,

Or a belief in the resurrection.

Don't forsake our constitution.

Lately I have made connection

In my greedy incomprehension,

For the need of Earth's protection.

Ending the race towards extinction.
