Her Fur Caused Stir “Fir Shir” (limerick)

Updated on September 5, 2012

He bought his dear wife coat of fur

And boy did that gift cause a stir

Her man must be drunk

To spend such a chunk

Soon smell of a skunk came to her

Funny, funny! This reminds me of the old TV series episode I Love Lucy when Ricky bought her an imitation mink coat. It fell apart when she wore it. What a stink this one is!

Oh yes brilliant and keep them coming.

They certainly cheered up my bleak morning.

The coat he'd bought had been so cheap

money pulled out from pockets deep

      her anger fought

      compromise sought

still stinking coat kept both from sleep.

Good Job, my friend! Keep 'em coming!

Mhatter, to fur or not to fur..... was it because he was up to no good, or because furs are no longer politically correct? either way, clever and very funny.
