heart healers ......a poem

Updated on September 30, 2013

Don't hate me ......

I know I know ....I'm not yours you're not
going to be mine

Yet my love there are feelings beyond loves
comprehension in time

She looks at me in desperation
her hearts been revealed

And I'm a fool for believing a broken
wing can ever be healed

But I'll take her under my wing
for now .....for awhile because that's who I am

And anyone that doesn't like it might
just learn from me...if they can

You see .......it isn't cheating when two
people touch as long as they know

A touch is but a healing ......as long as
the healings show

And a man that's healer loses something
of himself and that's all I know

Lovely poem. Not all wounds can be healed. True for all of us.

      Thank you for writing this.

      Voted up.

Your second last line reminds me of Jesus when he knew someone had touched the hem of his garment and received healing. Hope you find a great ending.

Lovely title to a lovely poem ... if you are a heart healer that is a beautiful thing, for true love covers a multitude of sins ... love is love period.

      Up and more

I enjoyed this poem very much. It speaks to the healing touch in us all. Some more than others I would wager. So many hearts broken, and need protecting. Well said Ed.
