Hello ; It's me, your Mom

Hello, it's me, and all I'm about

All that I've gathered in life throughout

The joy and the laughter you brought to my life

To help with the tears and sorrow ; life's price

The instinct and nurturing ; as a Mother I lead

All of you into adulthood ahead

I look for the good, I share with the poor

Doing the work for our sweet Lord

What I do, what you see

Is how I hope you'll remember me

I'll continue on till the days are gone

Making small changes

Where the world's gone wrong

I leave to my children and theirs as they come

A bit of me when all is done

In contrast to Billy, I took this to be written to your own children. Was I right?

Mom is the most beautiful word in the world. I feel its power each time my children call me "Mom". Thank you for this lovely poem celebrating the most important person in your life, the one who shaped you.
