The Hidden Truth

Updated on March 19, 2017

We think we are enlightened,

sitting in wooden temples,

mumbling religious dogma.

Imprisoned in "hand-me-downs",

those worn beliefs of humanity,

wrapped around our bodies like bars on a cage.

Societal doctrines use fear and hatred,

right, wrong, bad and good -

all to control and conquer the body.

Those who have controlled and conquered,

believe they own the ultimate power,

they are wrong - all they posses is fear and flesh.

We are immortal beings,

the only end is to our experience here,

we can love eternal - without the cage of fear.

Our ability is limitless,

as we create reality from the imagination,

seeking to expose the perfection within.

Looking for the complicated answers,

trying to satisfy a need,

when all truth is simple - just let creation be.

Knowledge passes through the collective conscious,

soul speaking to soul - using color, shape, and sound,

It's in love - all answers can be found.

Human routines lead no-where,

leaving us running in circles, chasing our tails,

only accomplishing regret and anger.

If we live from our souls point of view,

all the answers will appear,

it's all you have to do.

The soul is pure love - it can conquer the flesh's fear,

use courage and look inside,

to see the God who is near.

Hi Heather! Beautiful phrase "our soul's point of view". I think of souls as a separate entity and that we are just the hosts. A powerful piece of poetry on awareness and the inhibitions of our own doing.

This was a wonderful poem Heather. Your inner self shines and the true love of your heart comes through. I know life has had many trials for you, I sense that you are close to finding your true self and purpose here in this dimension. May peace and love fly to you on wings of eagle this day and always my friend!
