His Spirit Voice
2006 October 14th
He understands the spirit world as much as his own skin
He gets that beauty rests not outward but within
His days are spent observing and participating in beauty
And when he finds a wounded bird, he treats it as his duty.
His soul is set ablaze by things most cannot easily see
But when I meet this spirit man, his eyes and mine will be
locked as souls born side by side to walk life's crooked way
And at that moment we'll both know, though words we may not say
That the wait was worth the learning
For in this life there is but one soul journey without turning.
I'll find this man, one day and when I do I'll know it
I'll know him by his gentle soul, his eyes to me will show it.
My spirit man lingers now, he's looking for me in the crowd
But when his touch reaches mine, whether close or far
We'll both know, and both our souls will speak, at last, out loud.
