The Magic of Color ( a poem of inspiration)

Updated on April 28, 2015
A joyful and colorful dawning...
A joyful and colorful dawning...
Colorful flowers to please the eye...
Colorful flowers to please the eye...
Azure skies at evening...
Azure skies at evening...
so delightful...
so delightful...
Dawning... as reliable as a church bell's toll...
Dawning... as reliable as a church bell's toll...
Such treasure...more than gold...
Such treasure...more than gold...
Colors spread upon the canvas of the sky...
Colors spread upon the canvas of the sky...

Colors...oh, all the beautiful colors...helps to create magic in our lives,

Every flower and sunset, we do devour, and upon our vision, it so thrives.

Helps the old to feel young once again, as a true fountain of our youth,

Hold fast...this marvelous rainbow, for in its magical spell, we find truth.

Spread across the fields and watery seascapes, such beauty does unfold,

Highlights, etched about the countryside, sun bathed, its canvas, as bold.

Hang on...this wonder, do hang fast to this treasure, so given at our birth,

Such benevolence by the giver, beyond all measure, essence of its worth.

Red and yellow leaves, a canopy of wonder, in the fond Autumn of our years,

The pinks and greens of Springtime's pallet, brightens our lives, as all it cheers.

The azure skies, their silver linings, helps add happiness to our times, as well,

The joyful sun ups, each glorious dawning, reliable as a churches ringing bell.

Keep faith, oh devoted servant, for each work of art, as from a painter's brush,

Just as calming waves of a lake's dark blue waters, stilled by an evening's hush.

Tomorrow's skies shall awaken us in all splendor, preparation of a special day,

Our eyes will feast in a visual enchantment, by God's hands, and put on display.

Color is magical. It can affect our moods, sometimes unbeknownst to us. I know gloomy, overcast skies can give me the blues, while bright skies with billowy clouds are uplifting and inspiring.

      Beautiful poem and photos, whonu!

God has given you a heart of beauty and you use it well. Exquisite work and sublime pictures.

I'm getting old but I think that I have written a poem for you. Have a look at the last three or so. Much Peace.

The beauty of the gift of colors, how we sense them in nature and reproduce them in art. A difficult task yet well done. Jamie
