How Beautiful The Things Of Youth (A Very Private Poem)

Updated on October 30, 2014

The hopes, the dreams, the promised mirth,

My heart just told me, “Hold your tongue

For you know well it's worth”

Thanks, littledog. Good to hear from you. It's an unusual poem for me. I guess old age is knocking at my door loudly. Hmm....

That is a short but sweet poem. I can dig it.

Gee, thanks, Mary B. I feared it too dark, but it does have a positive lilt of sorts at the close. I appreciate your encouragement a lot.
