How Conundrums Plague

By Tony DeLorger © 2013

The unknown plagues a facile brain,

tempting resolutions that can't be tamed,

and I a seeker of truth do find,

frustration from all not understood to bind.

Conclusion as solid as a block of steel,

shall never represent an accepted seal,

for in darkness do we assume to know,

those secrets that life in us did sew.

But even though definitive s lack,

my seeking mind still is like a trap,

waiting for the truth to emerge,

from darkness into light preserve.

Engaging minds do delve too deep,

in life's dark places to understand and reap,

but for all the work and little results,

it is always the journey that reveals, consults.

And I in nature can do little else,

than follow my heart and be true to myself,

searching out the truths of life,

beyond the complexity of human strife.

And in my heart I know my path is true,

for what it reveals is about me and you,

with all our eccentricities,

sharing the thread of humanity.

Truth is continually in flux, as it appears, but it is really our perception of it that changes. Understanding is less of a result than a continual, ever-growing viewpoint, gained from the experiences and lessons gleaned from life.
