How delicate our minds and how ferocious our will,
to force our ideals and beliefs on others.
When we are but a figment of God’s imagination,
but we claim ascendance to omniscient overseer,
propagators of the lie of control.
Yet, with all the bravado, humanity is a slave to itself,
enacting the base behaviours of a past long gone.
Our minds are shattered by obsession and greed,
loathed to accept a place in life,
a responsibility to maintain and be guardian of the natural order.
The ineptitude of our thoughts are strewn throughout our world,
paradigms of a wayward view of life,
a perspective of self-importance.
Our minds now turn inwards, mirroring our world,
searching for salvation and a way home.
The cause of love the only single answer to the implosion of existence,
the slow disintegration of life as we know it.
The fabric of reality is worn down to thread, bent from humanity,
and trembles under the misguided needs of ignorance,
the false imperatives of ego.
How delicate humanity, with all its selfish fears,
And how broken is our home, drowning in our tears.
