How Do You Come To School?

Updated on February 6, 2012

How do you come to school? By car, by bus, by van or even by plane? Well, I used to walk to school. It is because my house was just a stone's throws away from my school. I didn't like walking to school as it was so hot and tiring. I was so happy when I heard the news that those houses around where I stayed would be uprooted by the government soon.

Immediately, I ran to my parents and told them about the news. They were so calm and had no response, Later, I realised I was the last one that knew about this piece of news. I had been wondering for a few days where we would probably move to. Would it still be somewhere near the school? after a few weeks of discussion, my parents had made up their mind to move to the outskirts of town.

I was about to fly up the sky when I was told I would be taking a bus to school as my house was located 15km away from school. I was feeling curious how it would be like to go to school by bus as it was my first time. I woke up very early the next morning getting myself prepared to go to school. My mother reminded me that I would no longer be walking to school as she accompanied me to the bus-stop.

I could feel my heartbeat pumping faster and faster as time passed. Besides, I could not even recognise the bus I would be getting up soon. To me, all buses were the same. They shared the same colour and had the same shape. So the only thing I could do at that time was to look at the number plate of each and every bus.

A bus stopped in front of me and honked out of a sudden. I realised that it was the bus I was waiting for after staring at it for a few minutes. I got up the bus and waved at my mother. A kind girl offered me to sit beside her. In return, I throw her a smile. Everyone in the bus was sleeping so soundly.

Boarding a bus to school is an experience that I will never forget. It is a memorable and wonderful experience. I have been boarding that bus to school since I was at the age of ten till today. Furthermore, I have made a lot of friends from that bus. There will be different stories happening in the bus everyday.
