How Fragile We Are

Updated on August 17, 2012

How fragile we are.

Every day we walk on our tight ropes,

Over the chasms below.

Hoping that the wind will not blow us off,

That the earth will not shake our rope,

That a fire does not sever the strands.

Thousands of ways to die,

Yet we keep walking.

Forging paper mache harnesses out of false hopes.

Still people fall everyday.

Some too tired to stand,

Others young and inexperienced,

Yet we keep walking.

We will all fall sometime.

Were simply delaying the inevitable.

So why not jump?

Nice poem. You're so right..we mustn't give up simply because something didn't work. Life is a learning process.

By the way, you should fix the title soon...
