How Great Thou Art.

Updated on March 3, 2010

How great thou art is.

How great thou art,
it's no surprise,
it's a critics demise
with those painted skies,
and deserts that
astound the eyes,
fall foilage,
and that creek's reprise,
as it burbles musically
passing by,
that lovely blonde
who winked at me,
the birds all singing
in the trees,
it's a vast
art gallery for free,
how great thou art
displays can be,
a tiny infants
first deep breath,
a gray haired lady's
peaceful death,
the colors in puddles
from oil slicks,
a cheetahs, mad dash
oh, so quick,
and this silly poem
inspired by
how great thou art is,
holy guy.

Lecie 8 years ago the one word that describes your poems. my stories are good and i love poetry but i've always had trouble writing them. children stories i can write like the wind. my poems even though they're shorter take more than twice the time to write. i keep second guessing myself and trying to find words that sound better than the ones i have. i've gone through a number of thesaurus's just trying to get the poem as good as i hear it in my mind. with the right feeling.

your poems are all so beautiful and usually give me chills. i wish mine could be half as great as yours are.

      have fun and be creative
