How can I not love you?

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

How can I not love you for all you are,

accepting, supporting and loving like the past never was.

Understanding left judgement far behind,

in your perspective, broad and flexible.

Right exudes from your manner,

with grace and humility you wheel a strong hand,

but in fairness and scope attain,

the best for all.

Most of all I love you for how you love me,

without judgement and always with an outstretched hand,

willing to open to new ideas and possibilities.

How can I not embrace you,

your calm and ordered mind a reflection of your world,

and what you have achieved despite antagonists.

I admire you; I look up to you,

and I love you deeply,

because your soul glimmers hope at every turn,

achievement at will and simplicity in action.

Much of what you do is without knowledge,

just the expressions of a wise soul who is open of heart,

something I treasure.

Together we shine even more,

each to the other a catalyst for truth,

a mirror of certainty and a knowing that we should be.

How can I not love you, when you live within me.

That was beautiful. Thank you for sharing. My favorite love poems are the ones that are most honest and pure to the one specific person the poem is intended. Seems you've got a partnership I hope to find one day. Vote up.
