How can the Dead Slumber? (Poem)

Updated on September 3, 2015

How can the dead slumber?

How can the dead slumber?

How can it see?

How can it receive?

How can it believe?

It hears but cannot listen

It’s broad but cannot deepen

It acts but nothing happens

How can the dead slumber?

Cravings, it loves the most

Smile of being alive, continue to decompose

When will they be awaken? No creature knows

To hate the hero, to love the foe

How can the dead slumber?

No wings yet tries to soar

Nothing but a faithful whore

Washed away on a black mindless shore

Sword that breaks

A love so fake

Allegiance to their graves

Souls to be saved.
