How Did I Know..

Updated on August 23, 2013

The heavy purple ...drops of rain
as they fell.. brought such pain
How did I know...I would go insane
as they pierced the tenderness..
of my brain
From the beauty...of such flower came
the sweetest nectar, of lost refrain
flowered tendrils of purple mane
in the deep, deep night..
of purple rain

Wow .. love your reply .. Skye... it is so awesome and fulfilling to my spirit .. you are filled with love .. my precious.

I am a recovering substance abuser and use my poetry to keep me strong ..until I wrote one certain poem that I feature " The Book of Poetry" I was struggling to find myself .. for if not finding my writing voice .. which actually was poetry, which let me release all the emotion I had pent up inside .. a spiritual awakening ... that keeps me writing ..

Skye and wetnosedogs .. thank you both for the support and most beautiful of words .. I do have pain in my spirit coming from having wasted a lot of my life without direction and trying to forgive the ones who hurt me while I pray ...to be able to forgive myself for hurting others close to me such as my family. thank you both again.! Bless you both for your courage and love you give to others.!

Michael, (and please call me wetnosedogs, wetnose, wnd - my real name is too formal)

Guess skye2day captured it right! I knew I was missing something, I just enjoyed it. It sang to me of something, but I couldn't grasp it - slow learner here. LOL. Guess someone had to really spell it out for me. Oh dear.

Michael, Thank you for such a warm comment back to me, I am touched. You are dear and precious.

Purple signifies royalty, passion. Jesus Christ is Royalty above all others. He is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords. Your poem spoke to me and reminded me of when I go through spiritual turmoil. When the pain rains on my heart I know the King of Kings is holding me. If I let go His Royal grace is still holding me. I am not going down. He will never leave nor forsake us. Hebrews 3:13.

Bit by bit He reveals Himself to me for His purpose and Glory. He will never keep us in a space that we can not bear. His Royalty always comes shining through in His deep passion and love for His children, always and forever. He is perfecting us.

In the trials His fragrant splendor and love for me never left. I can trust Him. He is Father, I am child. It is like we grow from glory to glory or hope to hope or faith to faith after trials or tribulation. Like the flower after the rain it is more vivid and alive. The color dances and shines in His Glory.

Your writing is deep and awesome and inspired. Jesus turns all things for the good for those that love Him. I hope this makes sense to you but that is how your poem touched my heart to the core. Hugs galore my dear friend.

wetnosedogs, well since poetry relates something different to everybody that reads it .. so if I tried to explain, what it meant to me ....you might go insane thinking about it ..LOL(just kidding)

      thank you for the read..!

Interesting. I wasn't sure how you meant about the pain and going insane.(that's me, I can put more into what is said or not enough) But I love it and something to think upon. :)
