How to Write an Excellent Article in 5 Minutes

Updated on June 30, 2010

Getting the job done

Everyone knows how to write an article, but how well can you do in writing an article well? As you can see, those who can write articles well are the ones who are the most popular in hub pages, earning the highest amount of money as compared to those who cannot write an article well. Let's just take a look how you could write out an excellent article well.

Writing what you know

It is essential that you write on articles of things and information that you are aware of. For example, if you know nothing about stock market, don't even think about writing it! Because you could give very little details/wrong information to those who are reading it, and it's impossible that you would produce a great article from it. Thus, write whatever information that is significantly valuable to others and what you are truly aware of.

Choosing the right keyword and using the right amount of keywords is also very important. Overuse of keywords will not lead to higher chances of getting ranked into Google's top searches, it will be identified as spam in the search engine. It is wise to choose keywords that are of google's high paying keywords, but it is essentially important to choose one that has lesser advertiser competition to increase your chances of getting ranked well fast.

Linking your articles

Your article may not fully provide what other people are looking for, however your other articles/links may help them in looking for their information. Thus, it is important to link your articles to other relevant articles that you or other users wrote or any other website that might be of use to them. For example, if you are writing an article about 'How to write an Excellent article', you could link to articles such as this.

  • How to Choose the Right Topic for Your Article
  • Difference between an Excellent and a Good Article
  • How to Succeed in Article Writing

This is just an example of how you could link your written article to other sources to help increase your views and earnings.

Catchy Titles

Do I have to emphasize on how important this is? A catchy title is like a short summary of the whole content of your article, and whether readers want to read your articles or not, it depends greatly on your title. 'How to guides, 10 Easy Ways to..' are titles that prompt users to click onto them especially if it is of relevant to what they are looking for.

Review your article

Although most of the times authors would be very sure that there isn't any more changes needed for the article, it is important to always review your old article so as to constantly improve it in terms of quality and grammer errors etc. You could also add more links to help improve reader's amount of information.

Surely, there are many other factors that will help you improve your articles. However, if you are able to include this points whenever you write out your article, I could ensure you that you are on your way to capture your targeted reader's attention. I hope this helps, thanks!

Thanks dude! Titles are really very important indeed, to me it just seems to summarise the whole article through that one point itself. Thanks for the rating too!

Many good advices, as usual in your hubs. My preferred one is the Catchy Title, I've seen with my eyes how much important a good title is. Rated up and useful. ;)

For SEO, it's true that you need to have to good keywords in your title to have a higher chance of ranking well in google, however if you are focus more on getting hubpage readers to read your articles, I believe a catchy title would rule over a good key word title =)

good tips. I read in another article that it is more important to have good key words in your title than to have a catchy title for SEO. What do you think about this?
