How To Make Articles More Interesting

Adding photographs and videos to your article, blog or website will keep the reader on your webpage longer

Do that and you can earn money online quicker because if the reader is happy then they are more likely to click on the relevant adverts.

It is best to add photographs which are relevant to the topic. If they are your own photos then all the better.

Digital Cameras and Cellphones Make it Easy

You can also upload relevant videos to add visual information about the topic you are writing about. You Tube videos are very easy to upload on the writing sites and the reader does not leave your page to view them.

Most of us have a camera on our cellphones which enables us to take photos and videos. Digital cameras are also small and cheap and give instant access to photos and videos we take.

Writing Articles and Blogs

The object of your article is to inform the reader on a certain subject that they are interested in. If you add photos to your articles and blogs you will be able to keep the reader there longer. You then have a better chance that they will click on the ads.

When they do this you earn the commission from Google Adsense or Amazon. I always prefer an article with visual aids and love to see the authors' own photographs on the page.

Below I have given you some very useful tips on How to use photographs in your articles to make money writing online.

Digital Cameras

Life is so much easier these days for article writers. I am still amazed at the new digital cameras on the market. In my day I had to spend a fortune to get the photos developed.

It cost £12 for a roll of 24 black and white photos and took from seven to ten days to get them back from the shop. The magazines would not accept colour photographs at all and they had to be colour slides.

I am not talking about the middle ages here either it was only in the early 1990’s. But technology has moved so quick since then. I have been writing articles for publication in Magazines since 1987.

Old Computers

That was before the age of the internet and laptops. I spent £1,000 on a computer, and that was when £1,000 was worth a lot more than it is today. The computer was a giant of a thing BEFORE Windows was invented.

It was designed for offices. My oh my was I was thrilled I could delete a word I had spelt wrong without having to start at the beginning again. Before that I was using a typewriter. Lol.

Now I use my slim line laptop computer that I can carry around from room to room and even use to write articles while sitting up in bed.

My Article for Irish Soda Bread

I wrote an article for an Irish Soda Bread recipe. Apart from the recipe itself I add step by step instructions of the method. I also added lots of photos of my mother making the bread.

I later took a video of my mother making the same recipe. I then added the video to the article too. The video is directly below if you would like to look at it. The article can be read in full by clicking the link below.

Video of My Mother

Taking photographs with a digital camera is easy and cheap. With the digital camera the writer can click away until they get that particular photograph for an article just right.

There is also the ongoing opportunity of taking a photo that suggests an article. Take your photos on a digital camera or mobile/cell phone.

Upload the photos on to the laptop, delete from the memory card on the digital camera and start again.

Instant Photos

My mother is always making Soda Bread at home. On a visit there one day I saw an opportunity for a recipe article here so I took out my digital camera and took loads of photographs.

My mother thought it was hilarious because she assumed everyone knew how to make Irish Soda bread and no one would be interested in looking at her making it.

I uploaded some of the photos and wrote the article.

If I had only included the instructions and ingredients it would be a lot less more appealing. You can see the results of adding photos and You Tube videos to this article below.

Add Photos and Videos

Photos and videos on your articles to earn money writing online. So all writers who wish to earn money online from their articles should invest in a decent digital camera and use it constantly.

Take advantage of the new technology out there, add photos and videos to your articles online and encourage readers to stay on your website or article. That way you have a better chance that they will click on one of the adverts from Google Adsense and Amazon so that you can earn cash online.

Increased Traffic

Increased traffic and happier readers means more clicks on your adverts. This in turn means you can make more money online.

I take my camera with me everywhere and sometimes a photo I take will give me an idea for an article . It is always better to have photos to show your readers.

That is so true. I love it when there are photographes in an article. It does make it more interesting and it is practical too because sometimes a picture can tell you a lot. Especially when you are talking about cooking articles or gardening. I love your photographes.
