How Cooking With Wine Improved My Cooking (limerick)

Updated on July 8, 2013

When I started cooking with wine

It made all my food taste divine

Such taste I’d unhook

With each drink I took

That even cookbook tasted fine

      I love cooking with wine,

When baking, grilling or stewing, dude.

In fact, some times I have been known

To even put it in the food.

Sounds good to me. I have a recipe for a Harvey Wallbanger Cake that starts off "make two Harvey Wallbangers"; drink the first one and save the 2nd to pour into the cake. It's one of the best cakes I've ever tasted. Really! Voted up and funny.

I just noticed how many followers you have.

You are definitely a Hub writer favorite!

One minute you have us laughing with your limericks, the next minute we are deeply sighing with one of your eloquent poems that take us on an emotional journey.

You are a very talented writer, Martin.

Cheers. Graham Kerr had a show called the galloping gourmet. He got pretty sloshed as the show progressed.
