Hubbers: Let's all play a game to make more money on Hubpages.

Updated on April 27, 2012

I want to invite my fellow hubbers to play a writing game with me!

If you have ever wondered just how, oh HOW the top of the TOP writers have been able to make SO MUCH money writing on Hubpages, I wanted to show other hubbers, just how easy`it can be to make a living writing on Hubpages, and FUN.

I have been thinking about a way to invite as many writers as possible to help each other have FUN writing on Hubpages, and at the same time make more money as we go along.

Now, with this experiment, I can't promise that we will make thousands of dollars, but I can promise that your earnings will go up significantly.

Here is what we all need to do in order to make more money on Hubpages:

  1. Write more
  2. Share hubs
  3. Comment on hubs
  4. AND most importantly: Keep up with our hubs.

This month has been an EXTREMELY busy month for me, since I've had the outmost pleasure of helping several writers increase their online income, NOT to mention writing, and Keeping up with my Hubs here on Hubpages. This has by far been one of my best months in my business, and on Hubpages, and I wanted to share a little bit of my success with all of my Loyal readers, and those that follow me.

Here's what we need to do!

Now, there is nothing too complicated to do, just simple math!

  1. Write Three articles today (preferrably on three different subjects) and share them with your readers! If you are wondering why you need to write three hubs, it is to increase traffic to other hubs.
  2. Read THREE new hubs today, leave a comment, AND SHARE those three hubs with YOUR readers as well.
  3. Now, If you have new comments on your three New hubs, COMMENT back on your hubs, AND go check out the hubs from the hubbers who commented on your work, and comment on three of THEIR Hubs.
  4. Finally, write about your experience with this challenge, and SHARE it with other writers who are interested in it! You will be surprised just how popular your hubs will be, and how many comments you will get!

If you are paying attention, all of this extra work, is meant to help out hubbers, and HUBS be Indexed faster, and get more traffic. Not to mention, EARN MORE in the process! Don't think that you wont be getting anything in return!

During the entire year that I wrote on Hubpages, I did nothing BUT write about topics that I loved, and knew almost everything about. This included: Freelancing, blogging, article writing, and family. In the very beginning, I didn't realize just how important socializing, and keeping up with all of my comments, and other writers was.

With that being said, I would like to Invite everyone who would like to try this challenge of mine, and in the process, tell us through your HUBS how this Challenge is working out for you!

I myself, will try this challenge with a few hubbers, and see just how this experiment works out!

Hmm.. thank you for pointing that out. I was under the impression that the 30/30 challenge had to be all NEWLY written hubs. Nowhere does it say anything about promoting older ones..... Interesting.

More wonderful advice. I was getting a bit discouraged because I noticed that my hub account has several blue arrows. You have encouraged me to keep on trucking!

This is a brilliant idea. I'm in. I recently noticed a huge drop in my views, I'm not sure if it's got something to do with google, or if I just haven't published enough recently, but I need to get my views back up and this is just the motivation to do it! THANK YOU!!! Voted up and of course shared!

Great Advice. I totally agree with your strategy. Write more. Read more. Interact more. In addition to adding to your earnings this is a great way to get writing experience, try different things, get feedback on your writing, promote fellow writers, and be part of a great community. Bonuses all around!

I also like the idea of sharing old hubs. I don't have quite the oingevity or library of my own to do this to do this, but it would be great if those hubbers that have been writing for years would throw out one of their old works every now and then. I have found some great stuff by sifting through other hubbers works and have commented on them. It seems like a good way to clear the dust off hubs that have dropped in views.

      Thanks for the advice.

oh wow! thank you so much for everyones support in this challenge! I would love to hear about hubbers experience in this challenge! So far, the responses have been INCREDIBLE, and I've read some incredible Hubs!

I also wanted to clear up one possible MISUNDERSTANDING. Hubbers who cant write three hubs a day, do not need to. If you cant write new hubs, simply SHARE some of your older hubs.. I'm sorry if I didn't explain that part better.. Many hubbers have been wondering "what If I cant write three hubs a day" well, just share some of your favorite Hubs, or older Hubs to increase your earnings, and go read other hubs! Simple as that!!

      Good luck everyone!

I've done this--it was tough, and I barely made it. It helped my hub score more than my income, and I probably won't do it again, unless I manage to stockpile a bunch of hubs and leave them unpublished until I have at least 3/4 of the needed quantity...which strategy, I was told upon asking, is NOT considered "cheating." ... ;-)

Hi, Jessi. Great info! I don't think I can write 3 hubs in a day, but I do read at least that many and I do make a point to look up and read additional folks who have commented on my hubs that day. Some days I do better than others. I think it's really good to be sociable. It does increase readership and gets our work out there more. Many votes on this hub and sharing!

Anybody who can write 3 hubs a day - and keep it up - deserves to increase their earnings! It has taken us over 3 years to produce 100 (and a few more) hubs. However, even though our output is small, we do have a steady trickle of income. So from our experience, it is possible to at least earn some pocket money from Hubpages.

I'm interested in a variety of topics, though I am more apt to write on health and food safety topics lately. I'm going to take your advice. So far, I haven't tried the Share feature, but will do so to ensure that my followers see and read some terrific hubs of people I follow. I'm starting with this hub!

I will never write "30 hubs in 30 days" because, as an older writer with physical challenges, research takes me a much longer time than it did only a few years ago. My actual writing is slower as well. But I set a high standard for my finished product, so the extra time it takes me to complete a hub is (to me) worth it.

Thanks for your tips, Jessi. I try to never miss your hubs.

One other suggestion on the 3 hubs to read, comment on and share. Make at least one Hub the work of a new Hubber.

Jessi10, a very interesting challenge. I am fairly new to HP but I have recognized the importance of some of your suggestions. I only have 20 hubs, but respond to my comments, at least look at the profile of the commenter, look at some of their hubs, and often follow them.(I will be more active with this). I also have been fairly active with questions and answers.

I won't be able to publish 3 hubs today, but I recently published 1 and am working on 2 more. I will definitely do items #2 and #3. (Your Hub is my first of 3 to read, comment and share).

I would propose that there could be a few more 3's to add to the list. Ask 3 questions, answer 3 questions, make 3 posts on a Forum and if you are really ambitious, write 3 Hubs that answer a question.

      Voted up, interesting, and shared.

I did do the 30 hubs in 30 days challenge once and it was tough but I did notice an increase in earnings. 3 hubs a day would be an almost unbelievable pace for me. That being said...I do believe that writing an occasional new hub and refreshing old ones helps...and reading, commenting and sharing of hubs helps all of us. So...consider it done! Up and useful votes and SHARED.

Up, useful, interesting, and shared with my HubPages followers. You show that the main factor in making money writing HubPages is being able to write super fast. I hope my being a slow writer means it will just take me longer. Working roughly 18 to 24 hours per week writing hub pages plus 6 to 12 hours per week doing hubtivity, I am striving to get my productivity up to one hub per week but no luck yet. There seems always to be another aspect of a subject to research, to be another rewrite needed to make a passage even better, another angle discovered that needs investigating. Getting done is very elusive.

Hi Jessi, your enthusiasm is contagious! I think people will join you on this journey. This is a good way to be consistent with one's writing. However, I want to add that in order to see faster results, those 3 articles should be quality content that people are going to search for. :-)
