Humility and God as a Mere Idea

Updated on April 25, 2016

"Ideas leave not their source."

He: Where do we begin on such a complex paradigm such as this?

She: I don’t know.

“Holy Spirit

the Third Person of the Trinity Who is metaphorically described in the Course as God's Answer to the separation; the Communication Link between God and His separated Sons, bridging the gap between the Mind of Christ and our split mind; the memory of God and His Son we took with us into our dream; the One Who sees our illusions (perception), leading us through them to the truth (knowledge); the Voice for God Who speaks for Him and for our real Self, reminding us of the Identity we forgot; also referred to as Bridge, Comforter, Guide, Mediator, Teacher, and Translator.”

She: Okay, I once said:

“Being the Union between the Father and the Son,

All Power rests with Spirit.”

He: You replaced what you had originally said as “comes” with the word “rest.”

She: Yes and that seems like a critical edit/revision.

He: We rest in God. We rest in Spirit and we find Power.

She: That is, power in Being instead of having or doing, which is mankind’s common mode.

We’re still quite far from tackling the hub topic/title. Don’t you think so?

She: Define humility.

He: Look up the www …

She: Let’s go back to square one:

Our premise is that humble man or the value/virtue of humility will aid in one’s knowing that God is actually merely an idea. And with the understanding of this, we will be able to intuit into which causes man’s being hypnotized into believing the idea of his separation from God.

He: Really?

She: Of course, you haven’t caught up with your reading, which you promised 2 nights ago.

Anyway, no one expects you to catch up with “A Course in Miracles” being an about-2-inch thin-leafed book.

I myself have not been able to read it cover to cover.

When God said, everything will be alright, I trusted, I can understand what the Author was driving at even without having read her book, word for word.

He: Oh ok!

She: The short of the long story:

God is merely an idea.

We His creatures/creation are mere ideas too.

" Ideas leave not their source."

We have never been far away from Him.

It’s this obsession with what our five senses report that creates the veil or illusion of separation. By reinventing our paradigm, we might be able to rise about the perception of our five senses.

He: That’s hard to understand but maybe can be imagined.

She: Now, not everyone has a developed faculty of imagination. The topic regarding the development of the imagination is not subject (maybe for now) for this hub.

He: When we close our eyes especially while listening to music, we can imagine/feel the revving of the car engine.

She: Yes, when we close our eyes especially while listening to music, we can imagine/recall our favorite volleyball drop shot.

She: When we close our eyes and dream, we can hear songs (“Song and Soul: A Spiritual Experience”) and know that we are more than this mere body reports as experience.

He: Really? You dream of songs in your sleep?

She: “Every Breath You Take” I dreamt, interpreted by me as Him caring for my every step of the way!

She: An angel appeared in a dream, only he had the face of Mr. Bean.

Stuff like those are ways God makes his Presence felt.

He: Before you proceed, what did the book, “A Course in Miracles,” actually want to say? Maybe I can just set it aside for reading whenever?

She: Yes, said God. Set it aside for whenever.

Based on my limited understanding, what it says is that we are all teachers-students to each other in this Christ Consciousness, regardless of religion or philosophy. In this earth classroom, we by working together evolve to higher and higher spiritual levels such that, we do develop that Christ Consciousness. No single person, unlike before when Jesus needed to be crucified, needs to bear the brunt of all the sacrifice for humanity. We each have the responsibility to carry a bit of the load and share (teach) whatever we have with each other (learn). Because of this sharing/love/generosity/compassion,

… we will become aware of each other’s hopes and dreams.

He: Huh

She: … and we’ll pray and keep sharing

… and we’ll see more and more of His blessings, miracles, wonders, talents, (e.g. telepathy, telekinesis, etc.)

(“Greater things than these you shall do.”)

… because we’re so in Love with God and each other. Stop.

Stop right there.

Thank you very much.

I need somebody with a human to-o-ouch.

Hey you

Always on the run

Gotta slow it down, Baby

Gotta have some fu-u-un.

He: Oh okay, I’ll google that one up. That must be a new song.

She: Ngek

He: So what about all these solid matter that we see all around.

You’re there. I’m here. We can’t even hold hands.

God: Hmmm. That can be arranged …

She: … and you know how it’s done.

He: Hey, I’ve actually documented that. Why do I keep forgetting?

She: And myself? Why do I too keep forgetting?

God: So why do you need documenting?

We forget. With your documentation/journals/whatever/whatever, you will be able to recall how it’s done.

God: You have also promised to cascade Everything through the ranks.

He&She: Opo (vernacular). Yes po (vernacular, honorific).

God: Of course, you will go on experiencing the perception of the ‘solid’ versus the

Real until everyone has realized that the world ends in forgiveness. That there had never been anything to forgive at all.

She: … the importance of withholding judgment.

He: … the importance of mindful awareness to notice when we are about to make a judgment against self and/or others.

She: … the importance of acceptance. Of self and/or others as really not knowing what was the best thing to do: they only did what they knew was best (although it hurt us).

God: So where is the difficulty of the topic coming from now?

He: We haven’t even started. Define humility, anyone?

She: Relinquishing ego control.

God: That definition came from me, through Eckhart Tolle?

Doesn’t matter who wrote whatever, you know. That’s being political. Ideally, we’d like to be apolitical: claim the idea for your own, use it, live it if it works. Doesn’t matter from whom it came from.

Of course, we need to acknowledge authorship. In this way, when the masters get together, there is a chance for them to bolt-in in affirmation of each other.

He: (documenting)

He: Definition of humility by

“[n] a disposition to be humble; a lack of false pride; "not everyone regards humility as a virtue"

[n] a humble feeling; "he was filled with humility at the sight of the Pope"”

He: Surrendering to God

God: Also, surrendering to “god”

The masses have a lot to teach the leaders.

The engine has a lot to teach the driver.

The ball has a lot to teach the volleyball player.

It’s about not insisting on having our own way.

She: Because Everyting is Sacred.

He: Got it. Got it.

He: So then we can see God in everything, everywhere. In everyone.

She: The Spirit in me and the Spirit in you, seeing Eye to Eye.

We each have three eyes. Blessed Trinity.

He: There you go again with your silly abstract reasoning.

God: That’s how her quirky mind works. Leave her be. Be her translator to the masa (i.e., the masses).

She: If I am merely an idea (‘be humble, be humble!’) that God the Idea created, and I see this Idea everywhere …

… i_ see mySelf everywhere …

He: (waiting in suspense) What’s next?

God: Honey, you know the answer.

He: Okay, God is talking in riddles.

Let me just go back to

the birds and the bees

and the flowers and the trees

and the moon up above,

and this thing called Love.

God: Good. Very good! This idea about Me being just an Idea will eliminate all distinctions, religion, philosophies, linguistics … All that will be left is Love and Unity,

… in wordlessness Love and Unity (if there is such a thing yet).

“This is how the world ends.” Forgiveness ends the world, the world of separation.

… All that will be left is Love and Unity.

… Love, Abundance, Completion and Unity …

From “A Course in Miracles”, Manual for Teachers, Section 14.:

“The world will end in joy because it is a place of sorrow. When joy has come, the purpose of the world has gone. The world will end in peace because it is a place of war. When peace has come, what is the purpose of the world? The world will end in laughter, because it is a place of tears. Where there is laughter, who can longer weep? And only complete forgiveness brings all this to bless the world. In blessing it departs, for it will not end as it began. To turn hell into Heaven is the function of God’s teachers, for what they teach are lessons in which Heaven is reflected. And now sit down in true humility, and realize that all God would have you do you can do. Do not be arrogant and say you cannot learn His Own curriculum. His Word says otherwise. His Will be done. It cannot be otherwise. And be you thankful it is so.”

And thus the New Heaven and the New Earth.

Here and Now.
