Hummingbird Haiku

Updated on August 14, 2016

Since so many people out there on the Hub Pages seemed to have enjoyed my first two haiku poems here on the Hub Pages, I have decided to write yet another one for everyone. This is a fragile look at the life of a little hummingbird through the flowing words of a haiku. Seventeen syllables carefully put together to form one beautiful story. It's all here for you to enjoy.

Hummingbirds hover

Among the scarlet flowers

They are quite content

The hummingbirds are much happier when in the scarlet flowers.

What I liked: Your theme is well here. I like hummingbirds and scarlet flowers. You've followed the 5-7-5 syllabic pattern. I like that too. It does allow us to express more.

I feed them in my backyard and enjoy trying to catch a glimpse.

The only criticism Poet, is that you would do better if you put a collection of your lovely haiku together in one least three or four, because they are so short.

Nice job on the Haiku and great choice on using the elusive hummingbird. Voted up and hit many buttons.
