Her husband was let go from job

Event that would cause wife to sob

Cash lost wouldn’t be

What stole the wife’s glee

Twas all of her free time he’d rob

      That is so true, but it can happen the other way around too, when the wife has been going out to work and then retires. Takes some adjusting.
