I AM WHERE I WANT TO BE

Updated on September 4, 2009

Making Life Count

One day we all realize the world isn't here just for us.

Each day seems to go by more quickly than the one before it

People we have got to know and love all our lives are gone

Are future is different than we imagined

We can not do the things we always have done in the past

Things that were so important don't even matter any more

Many friends have come and gone and a very few will be here to the end

We are looked up to and admired like we use to do to others

Some day they will also be where we are now

Only one thing lasts for ever

Life always chages for the better

I like this! It's true, we need to live for now because the past is behind us. Some I know still live in the past. We should live one day at a time and always help someone if we can. Thanks!

You can always write all your material for the church only.I'm sure they would like that.

i know and then you could have so many regrets..... but i am not the type to do stand up comedy. I am not allowed to go into so many topics, as the religion i have chosen to be in a religion where i don't swear etc etc...... i would be so limited in my stand up comic world that it would be rubbish...... i can think it though eh

It's like when people are dying. They finally give up smoking and drinking and drugs that will kill you. What happened to ten years ago. When you had everything you could of ever wanted.A loving family, wonderful companion who will be by your side forever. All the energy to make all the dreams in the world come true. The time to do it all.The knowledge to fall back on through the years of experience. You left it for someone else.....to do.

Don't you know thats what makes the best comics. Those who are different than the rest.Very unique in many ways.Age is just a number. You can over come your shyness just pretend your writing one of your great hubs and I'm reading it.Life is about challanges. If we face them with positive attitudes then we have to get a positive outcome. No ifs ands or buts about it.

Did you ever think of being a stand up comic? You can have so much fun picking out the things that everyone relates to and you have a unique way of expressing yourself.

I have a lot of motivation and inspiration and I constantly keep thinking how i can help others with my talents.I sometimes think I scare people by being so brutally honest.I will not change because it's who I am.I will keep trying to meet others who are the same.No matter where they live and what they have gone thru just happy to keep trying and never giving up.Always wishing and wanting for a better life.

Thanks for sharing. You have come a long way. Those who write seem to keep all there thoughts in their head or somehow find an outlet for sharing.I didn't know where to go. So you end up writing for yourself.Thinking it's a hobby that you enjoy and often wonder how could I make money at it.Dreams of maybe someday writing a book.In the meantime you keep writing until you meet others who have the same interest and desires. That's what brought me here.My name is mike.It has been so much fun learning what inpires other people to write also.Talk to you soon

      well let me brag son.....

I never went to college or anything like that, so i answered an advertisement for a home course.... It was i suppose about 14 years ago, it was expensive, but i was working in a stationers shop for my cousin, she lent me the money and i paid her back...

I sent in an article to Woman.... it had been to the tutor first and he recommended i send it..... A man phoned me up about 3 weeks later, saying he was the editor of Woman... I was convinced he was winding me up, in Manchester there is a radio programme where people wind people up all the time, and as writing was a passion for me but an embarrasment to my kids i was convinced he was winding me up.... Well he was not.... he took the work and actually paid me £300 for it, then everything else i ever sent off has been published too.... just had a thing published in k9 magazine also

It is easy to get things published actually and you would have no problem (ARE YOU SERIOUS THAT YOU HAVE NOT HAD THINGS PUBLISHED??????)

have sent nothing off for ages just try to improve my standard on here first...... ah well i am taking up a lot of your time and i don't even know your name do i??????? NOW THERE IS A QUESTION

It's a great day to be adopted! Thanks.well for me writing was something everyone else did.Mostly young girls in their diaries. Not guys.Definitely not guys who talked about it.But instead of stopping me from writing. That gave me more fuel for the fire.I wanted to write more and more.I only got two things published and I settled for writing in a notebook and then call it a day.

oh yeah you can be my son..... it was a cross stitch magazine i used to give them ideas, then i would go into schools teach the kids how to stitch, write an article around it then the magazine would use it every time.... the local paper used to come with me and use the stories...... a bit of a celeb in my home town...... i also put poetry books together with kids...... 6 in all in 6 different schools...... #

IT means a lot when people even accept my writing, it's a bit of a laughing stock to my family actually....

As a child i was brought up a Jehovah's Witness. At 14 we moved house so my dad could help out at a congregation nearby as he was an elder. I never settled in the new place, and started missing school..... i had two sisters and this was a very large mixed school and in a rough area. My parents have apologised since they realised it was a bad move for me.....

I got married at 17 moved to Liverpool, lived there for 2 years, then to an over spill town for about 8 years, suffered serious depression there. Moved back to my home town to get my children educated in the same town as i was from...... i was happy there and even was writing for a magazine, when we moved to Ireland 12 years ago. For different reasons i have lived in 3 totally different towns, and every time have had to make new friends myself again..... my husband is not a people person so it does not worry him, in fact he chooses to work alone.... really only likes my company (CAN U BLAME HIM)

it is only when i write all that down i realise just how much moving around i have done. I have been extremely grateful to hub pages, i think at times it has been my life line.....

I am very much a people person, but have moved around so much, i have lost lots of friends and find it very hard to function in a place where there is conflict.... i try to create a nice atmosphere wherever i go, but it is not always possible..... i can be so confident when i am happy, but i can easily lose my confidence in bad enviroments..... i know it should not matter, but it does to me.... i never change for anyone else actually, except myself, and maybe listen to my kids, sometimes....

You don't seem to have to worry about enemies. You have proved you win them over in time.If not, concentrate on your friends and your enemies will disappear. You seem like a people person and you should spend more time knowing what you love and never cange for anyone else.

That is a nice thing to say thanks a lot.... yeah i intend to move forward with no regrets...... nice to make like minded friends, street wise i kinda am i suppose, i have survived years in lots of nursing homes. You have to be tough in there, the power struggle is immense. I start to sell avon, do you know avon. I make friends, and can tell the level of friendship by the customers i get, what they order and how i can encourage them to choose a product that suits them. The female staff get excited when the products come, i have just started selling it in the nursing i am working in. The nurses have been extremely unfriendly, but are now ordering the products to take to India when they go back.... and come rushing over to me when i arrive and chat to me, whereas they were so cold before, i tell them the best bargains, and our working relationship is improving already. People are really interesting, i hate having enemies, don't you....

Do you know those who are street smart not book smart do better in life.Congratulations you just recieved an nice award. You should not steer away from what makes you you.Just be yourself and you write beautifully now.I wish I could write like you.You can't help but learn as we do everything in life. The only thing is we have to realize what is the past is the past and the present is now and we have such a great future ahead of us every day our feet hit the floor.

should i steer away from myself in my writing then..... i have grown a lot in the last year, my mum died one year ago and it changed me..... even tho i am a grandmother i was still looking for my parents acceptance, and now i am at last looking at myself in a more positive life and trying to achieve. I would love to be a great writer, but i feel i must learn more about everything,,,,,, i have never been a great student.
