I Am In A Jam

Updated on October 11, 2012

Any Ideas ?

This is not going to be easy

I have not thought of an answer to my problem

There is no quick fix

It is like a big thorn in my side

Ouch it hurts

There is an old saying when the going gets tough the tough get going

Then how come I heard the door slam

I think I am on my own on this one

I have to refocus and discover something I didn't see earlier

So I close my eyes tight and think and think

All I see is spots

Maybe I closed my eyes too tight

I know I will take my mind off my troubles and come back to them later

That has worked in the past

Giving my mind a rest and then a solution to the problem appears

Out of the blue

Like a big blue balloon

Off to do some errands

I am driving along and relaxed and calm

Bang I just got hit from behind

By another car who apparently wasn't looking where they were going

Now this is not what I had planned

Luckily there was no damage so we both went on our merry way

See things are looking up already and it's just been an hour

My mind is capable of thinking so many thoughts

i will make them good and before you know it I will have a solution in my hand

An answer to my prayers

I can feel the excitement build

So I get out of my car and go to the post office

I feel splat

I don't believe it

A bird just pooped from the sky

It hit my shoulder and my head

Oh what are the chances

So after I do this I will have to play the lottery

I am getting luckier and luckier by the minute

So I leave the post office and played two scratch tickets for twice the luck

I won't scratch them yet

I will save them for later

So I put them in my pants pocket

Off to run a few errands and keeping all my options open

I went to the food store and it was busy

I looked around and I found the last shopping cart

I am so lucky

See how things are working out

As soon as i put a few things in my shopping cart I feel the urge to go the bathroom

So I race to the back of the store

I go quickly run inside and wouldn't you know

A big sign SORRY OUT OF ORDER.

Just when I thought my luck changed for the good

So I hurried back to my shopping cart

But an old lady had taken it

I said politely I'm sorry miss but this cart is mine

She said there are no shopping carts and I found it first

My things are in it

Their mine now

I couldn't hang around any longer

By this time I really had to go

So I left the store and headed home

Maybe more good luck will come my way

I have had my share of ups and downs but this is only one day

After I arrived home I went to pull out the lottery tickets I had bought

What do you know?

I had a hole in my pocket and they are both gone

Life can change in an instant for good or bad

It is what we do with what we have that makes our life happy or sad

I laughed then chuckled this could only happen to me

I look forward to better times and I know they are just around the corner

But for now I am going to take a nap and dream

Where my problems disappear in a puff of smoke

One poof they all gone

This is one way to make them disappear if only for awhile

I sleep a little better

For tomorrow is another day

That is my only plan and right now it is just to soon to tell

But when it happens you'll hear me yell

I did it once again

I found a way to make things better and it all worked out

Life is funny

We struggle until we find a way

It doesn't always come when we want it to

If not now it will come soon

When it does I will be very happy

That will be the end of my story

You have a wonderful outlook on accepting the good with the bad. "Never sweat the small stuff".
