I Am Not Within The Box Some Hold. A Sonnet, Dedicated to Ann Carr (Annart) For Her 100th Hub.

Updated on October 29, 2016

Congratulations, My Dear Friend

Not this; not that … no, not nothing; not everything!

I am not within the box some hold.

Not in 'isms' or in 'ity's,'

Not in Faiths.

I take wings, like an eagle,

And my freedom is like that of the kite.

Expansive, not confined by spaces;

Birthless; deathless; ever-transcending ...

Say no more of the Sojourn;

Leave all to the unspoken.

Smell My breath in the petunias;

Bathe in My inner rapture; be the rain-drops from Heaven.

Hug My grandeur with your Soul, as I kiss your delicate Spirit.

Hear my resonance in Silence;

Dance in a measureless Space.

      Thanks Stephen,

      I appreciate this and thank you. They are deliberately chosen, yes. Aestheticism and beauty, no? About the poem, what's your thoughts?

      That was a very nice tribute, and quite profound. Well done! Ann will love it.

      Funny they do come to me like that. You're so right. I cannot stop them. Wait till you so the other one tomorrow. Very different and yet quite creative and original, too.

      I presume that you received the three poems, yes? My deepest gratitude to you, Nadine, and much Love.

      Hi DzyMsLizzy, welome!

      Yes, profound! So glad that you like it. Much appreciations. In Love and Light.

      Omnipresent. That's the word I am left with to describe the essence of this beautiful poem.

      Wow! A sonnet dedicated to me! I'm honoured and flattered.

      I love the 'outside the box' -ness of it, if that makes sense? I also love the big birds of prey, like the kite. Thank you for the poem and for the congrats. Thanks, too, to my friend bill. What supportive people we have here at HP.

      Ann

      (BTW, on the subject of the big birds, manatita - if you haven't been to the Hawk Conservancy off the A303 near Andover, give it a try; wonderful place)

      Bill, so glad you like her and yes, I do know that you remember or take note of these significant events. Much gratitude to you, and loving thoughts.

      Ah Marlene, what a beautiful word! Lots and lots of love to you ...

      Thanks Ann,

      I have been to Chessington where I saw some rare birds. New Zealand and Hawaii, too. I have been purposely to Andover, but I'm hungry this a.m and my memory is failing me. I will bear it in mind, though. A303. All birds are loved by the esoteric poets, they represent the freedom of the Soul.

      Yes, what you say makes excellent sense, and yes, Bill is a wonderful human being. Much gratitude to you here ...congratulations again and much Love ...

      "Smell my breath in the petunias". This line really stood out for me.

      Once again you've paid tribute to a fellow writer in a most personal, heartfelt way, Manatita.

      Congrats, Ann!

      To not be within the box is a wonderful feeling. To be free and test the outer limits in a joyful way. Your divine dedication to ann is beautiful and so eloquently stated...I loved it!

      Welcome Sujaya.

      Thank you so much!

      Shauna, I thank you always, and I remember you with much Love.

      Jodah,

      Yes, my Brother, you're so right! Gratitude ...

      Ruby, much gratitude. I note your Hub, but Hub Pages has not worked well for me these last few days. I will visit you p.m. Whatever Love the Master gives me, is always there for you, much Peace.

      My Dear Bronwen,

      Yes, out of the box. The life of the Spirit; the life f Love, has no boxes and is ever-transcending. How could it be otherwise? Then Its wings will be clipped and would not fly. I know that you know this. In Love and Light

      Ann,

      Thanks for re-visiting and remembering your Friends. A loving thing to do. I have changed lines 3 and 4. Softer, and I'm always seeking to serve, to inspire; to elevate ...

      A warm embrace to you this lovely morning.

      I do prefer those changes; as you say, it's softer but also flows better I think. All lovely anyway!

      My friends are important to me and I value their support. Where would we be without them?

      You're in London?

      I noticed before but keep forgetting. We can meet sometime. I visit Poetry Cafe in Covent Garden every Tuesday for the 1930 performance. I am a nurse in Imaging at Charing Cross.

      Ann is here too, but further away from us. Perhaps she will visit sometime. Don't know. Thank you so much for your continued support. Left another comment on your Hub not so long ago. In Love and Light.

      Nice, manatita. Of course you are referring to Spiritual matters, but it can speak to the soul of some individuals as well.

      Yes, yes... my Sweet shanmarie. All things speak to the Soul, even to an ever-transcending God. The Divine has planned it this way. So glad you came. Just one more now. My Friends Have Become Strangers. I'll find it for you. Deep appreciations. - Manatita

      Thanks to others who've sent me congrats! Always lovely to be appreciated! I do treasure my friends here. Hope all have a lovely weekend.

      I don't get to London often, in fact I don't like cities much (except Paris!) and I find London is too noisy and rather drab these days, sadly.

      Aaaahh! Ann, there is a brilliant piece written by Sri Chinmoy about New York somewhere. Cities do have their own strengths: Buzz, excitement, vibrancy, enthusiasm, flow, energy ... not to mention the practical aspects of lure: money, jobs ...

      But yes, I'm sure that I can write a piece on the charm and sweetness of the country also. Of course stillness and tranquility, as well as the simplicity and good food are there. (smile). Thanks for visiting again. Much Love.
