I Am TooTired To Be Me

It is late

It is late

Sleep sounds so good

It calls me by name

Come here my friend I have a pillow to rest your head

I have a few more things to do

It can wait till tomorrow nobody will know

I want to write this hub

One hub, one more story just come to bed and forget the whole silly idea

I have given it some thought but I am not coming to bed

You have worked all day and you just got a nice hot shower to make you tired

I am still waiting

My foot fell asleep I will wiggle it gently awake

Don't fight it your eyes lids are resting on your face

That is not your problem ?

I struggle to type

An error here and error there

Come join your wife she misses you so

I will soon enough but for now I must write

You have to be up in four and half hours

Work tomorrow you will be useless

I won't worry about that now I have a few lines in my mind

Why are they so important ?

They are just a few words of many

But don't you see these words separate me from you

I think and write with my heart filled with thoughts I don't want to forget

You rather sleep your day away

Aaaaaaaah good old sleep wrap me in a sheet

The cool comfort of my body at rest is like my body floating on air

I hear the rain and feel the energy of the light above my head

If you come and close your eyes you will see darkness and delight

I am half way done just a few more words to come and it all makes perfect sense

You won't finish and you will have to rewrite it all over again

I will finish and I have put all my thoughts in order and now I am sorting through them one by one

My writing has a beginning and an end

I must see my thoughts widen my horizons

You are a silly fool who will never learn

I pass on the willpower for those who look

I tell others when you think you can't take one more step

Think of how easy it is when you have done it all your life

Nobody will read your words because they are all asleep

When they wake they will see how I succeeded

Reading line after line like a play that was performing on the midnight stage

My final scene has come and I can say my last words of the day

Now seeing everyone clap has made it worthwhile

I take a bow and tell myself this is why I do what I do

Calling it quits and turn off the computer and wish everyone a good night

Now I can crawl into my bed and sleep a wonderful sleep

That I have been waiting and aching to do

Holding my wife in my arms close and snuggling the rest of the night

With a love that never gets old

Always precious and bold
