I am the abyss; the chasm blue;

I’m your sweet cheerfulness; your haven, too.

I am the shadows; the Light to tend,

The many weary hearts, I need to mend.

I am the flower; the scented lawn,

The hallowed Earth; the beauty of the dawn.

I am the Heaven; the art of wars;

The celestial nymphs and the twinkling stars.

I am the Polestar, that shines afar,

The precious tear in your charming laughter.

In so many fragrances I dwell:

The yellow orchids; the wafted bluebell.

I am your joys and your sorrows, too;

My exquisite sparkle shines in you.

I charmingly array the Higher Sense;

Paint my Love on your Breath of Silence.

I am at funerals, when men die,

I make the winds speak and the flowers cry.

I am the Form; the Emptiness; the Bride,

I’m in everything else that’s null and void.

-Manatita, The Lantern Carrier. Copyrighted, 25th June, 2015.

      A truly lovely tribute/birthday wish for our dear Whonu!

      We should all celebrate each other. Whonu is such a special poet and I am always blessed to read his superb poetry and his photos are simply amazing, which allow his true heart to show right where it is indeed.

      Peace and blessings,

      Theresa

      Mary,

      Fpherj48,

      Al

      I believe in you all. This person as mentioned, may not be alone. Incredible as it sounds. We are dealing with human nature.

      My appreciation to all three of you. One day, 40 - 50 years from now, my poems will be sung like Rumi's or Hafiz or Blake's. Meanwhile, I need to recover. I wish to reflect the Light more, to look at myself. See where I went wrong ..introspect. Much Love.

      manatita44.....This poem is simply exquisite.....PLEASE don't allow someone's FALSE accusation make you leave us. This is a terrible thing this person has done. Just knowing you and reading your work it is simple to see you would never indulge is such foolishness.

      IGNORE this person's words, manatita. We all know what is true. Please take some time to think deeply on this and rise above it.....Peace, Paula

      My Sweet. This means so much to me! I will remember. Because of my sadness and inner pain, I am going away for a while. I have written my last Hub: http://manatita44.hubpages.com/hub/The-Light-of-Th...

      It goes without saying that I have admired you as a writer and a person, and hold you in high esteem. I am offering you my heart. Salaam!

      I have no idea who this person is Manatita but I know he is WRONG! You are an original soul and would never, ever steal another's work. Those of us who know you know your integrity and spirituality. Perhaps he is stealing your work????

      A very sad thing happened to me today, Mary. I have been acused by A Hubber of stealing his work. Frankly, I'm so different from every one else, I'm amazed that he could say this. I never steal anyone else's work. I'm pure and original. You're my Friend and may come across his writings, so I wanted you to know.

      Contributions like yours reach my heart and Soul and I value you for appreciating my sincere Spirituality. Om Shanti!

      P.S. O yes, even in this poem, he says that 'null and void' came from him. This is a very common expression, and I have never seen it in a poem. I wanted to rhyme with 'bride' so I thought of 'void' and then 'null and void' and so it continued until I had created the line. I feel so sad.

      It gets harder to describe how beautiful your works are. I will have to start using the theasurus to find the right words!

      Voted up, awesome, beautiful, and interesting.
