News Worthy

I am the bones of Badilia Jones
I call from the depths of the sea...
I was tossed in the drink
and before I could sink
Jaws came to dinner on me!

I am the head of Georgie McDred
I hang from an old willow tree...
mistook for a crook...
I was swung by a hook
and mistaken for bad company!

I am the entrails of the Mistress O'Grails
I'm buried beneath a fine rose...
tossed in the beds
of Queen Lizzy reds...
to blame for the thorns I impose.

I am the jewels of Sir Reginald Druells...
I once was the bard of a king...
kissed his queen in the dell,
then got tossed down the well...
Now, forever soprano I'll sing.

And if you believe the tales that I weave,
My friend, you are worse for the wear.
I just watched the news
that inspired these ruse,
a broadcast of newsworthy fare!

star, I am most happy to hear this! I posted this under another title, had second thoughts and unpublished it, but got the business from a friend who had read it. Decided to re-title, amend, and add a verse...now I am glad I did!

Well you are officially some-clue now. Ideas come from many places and other writers, if we can refer to ourselves by that lofty term, appreciate the creativity involved in this beautiful piece of work. It's pretty special. Bravo!
