I am the bones of Badilia Jones
I call from the depths of the sea...
I was tossed in the drink
and before I could sink
Jaws came to dinner on me!
I am the head of Georgie McDred
I hang from an old willow tree...
mistook for a crook...
I was swung by a hook
and mistaken for bad company!
I am the entrails of the Mistress O'Grails
I'm buried beneath a fine rose...
tossed in the beds
of Queen Lizzy reds...
to blame for the thorns I impose.
I am the jewels of Sir Reginald Druells...
I once was the bard of a king...
kissed his queen in the dell,
then got tossed down the well...
Now, forever soprano I'll sing.
And if you believe the tales that I weave,
My friend, you are worse for the wear.
I just watched the news
that inspired these ruse,
a broadcast of newsworthy fare!
