I Didn't Mean It

Updated on September 28, 2012

Then why do it

Give a little thought before you do something you really didn't want to do

Think again what would happen if this was done to you

Would you smile and laugh or cry and be upset

There is still time to change your action

Be careful what road we take

It takes only a second thought to correct a misguided idea

One that wasn't very nice and certainly not your best effort

We all have made our share of mistakes and errors

But some can be avoided with just a little more insight

It is better of to see someone happy than sad

A great feeling to see someone laugh instead of being mad

There is a way to make good things happen

Leave the bad thoughts on paper and burn them to ash

Where they can do no harm and more good in the end

Put the ash in a pot with a flower and watch it grow

You will have made the best decision yet with no regrets

Life is about thinking and thinking we do best

It takes a far greater person to recognize their mistakes and correct them than to spend their energy trying to excuse them.

      Fantastic life lesson.
