I Get High With A Little Help

Updated on August 13, 2015

What Were You Thinking ?

With the help of my clothes

Every time I pull my clothes out of the washer

I have to smell them

I am instantly hooked

Now that I have done it once

I keep on doing it

Before you know it

The clothes isn't enough

I have progressed to the next level

I might be caught going up and down the laundry detergent isle

Sniffing each laundry detergent cap

I can see it now

Man banned from all grocery stores

He doesn't buy anything

Just walks up and down the laundry soap isle

Sniffing different laundry detergent caps

He has been here for hours

He comes every day

I understand they smell nice

I get it

Buy one brand and take it home

Sniff all you want

Customers are starting to copy you

There is starting to be a traffic jam isle nine

It all started harmlessly enough

One day I was pulling my laundry out of the washer

I took one wiff

Before I throw them in the dryer

Once in the dryer

The smell dissapates

I lost the urge

Then I thought

If the clothes smell this good

What if I try a different smell

Oops a big mistake

So many choices

From that moment on

I have been labeled as the L.D. Sniffer

Naturally! " sniffing " your own preferred laundry detergent, it's your clothes . My son created a special mix, we consider it heavenly - despising all the others. Isn't it too egoistic? Choices we make as long as we live in a free world.

      Voting up.

Minnetonka Twin It is very enjoyable. So if you see someone going up and down the isle sniffing one cap after another it might just be me. Thanks so much for reading.

I love 'Spring Rain' because it's such a refreshing scent that isn't too overwhelming.

What a fun way to start the day my friend. I can vividly picture you and the other man sniffing the caps at the grocery store. There are so many different scents and I can see how someone could go overboard deciding which one to choose. Maybe the answer is changing it up every time you go to buy it. Just keep trying new scents. Have a great weekend :)

annart I don't think it could ever do any harm. I wonder if your sense of smell would improve. Just another way to laugh at our own habits and wonder if other people do the same. Of course I have to carry it to the extreme. Thank you for reading and sharing. Have a nice weekend.

Funny! Sniffing can become an obsession - who knows what it can lead to?! Thanks for a smile on a Friday morning.

DWDavisRSL Today more than ever they have so many laundry detergent scents. Lavender to Spring Rain. Don't do it. Growing up my mother use to use dryer sheets they would make the towels smell fresh and soft. Don't need those anymore. Thank you for reading and starting the day off with a little humor. Hope your day goes well.

I have never sniffed my laundry when I take it out of the washer and after reading your cautionary tale I will not be doing so, or will curiosity get the best of me.

      Thanks for an amusing Hub.
