Christmas Bells Are Ringing

Sung to the tune of I Heard The Bells On Christmas Day

I had to work on Christmas Day

I do not feel I should complain.

For I'm employed, I'm overjoyed,

With peace and happiness today.

I had to work on Christmas Day

May family I would not see

But I unite other families tonight

With peace and happiness today.

I had to work on Christmas Day

"An awful chore," some folks would say.

The Lord has blessed, my mind can rest

With peace and happiness today.

I had to work on Christmas Day

The folks seem all in disarray.

So smile, I did and joyfully bid

Them peace and happiness today.

I had to work on Christmas Day

"How can I smile so big?" you say.

My job requires, my heart desires

To bring peace and happiness today.

A great positive view to take. When not everyone can be enjoying the holiday it's good to make the best of it - and there are so many who need to keep working so that others can enjoy it. Peace and happiness to you, too.

Thanks, W1totalk. I figure I'll be working holidays for a few years and I might as well look on the bright side. Tis better to focus on the service to others than ones self.

This was just a great approach to a holiday work do.
