I Have Been Tricked Again

Updated on October 17, 2012

Let Me Give It A Try

Why do I fall for the same tricks

You think I would of learned by now

Every time I see an offer that seems to good to be true

It is

This time by HubPages no less

I get a message on the screen and it says

How would you like to make ten dollars filling out this questionaire

I say it sounds easy enough

I could use the ten dollars

Why not

Then I go to the next step

I type in an answer to a few questions and then a pop up says

If you are selected we will notify you by e-mail

Then I think thats not what you said

Why can't people be honest and just say upfront

We will pay you only if you pass the few qualifying steps

If still interested thanks for your interest and we will keep you in mind

If picked why not pay the ones that participate and take the time

I guess it's the way business works these days

It sounds shady to me

Would anyone ever go to a store to buy something and then when you get the register they say

I'm sorry the price just went up now it is $5.00 more

I'm sorry this item is sold we can't sell it to you

How would you feel ?

I think it is the old bait and switch

Just a modern version to trick people into believing something is not true

I like when people are on the up and up

How do companies get away with such practices

I am sorry the HubPages is not the first

But what happens when you spend fifteen minutes answering questions

Then you get a message

I'm sorry this offer is no longer valid at this time

Try again later

Been there done that

I love the HubPages so much and I don't want to end in a sour note

I think HubPages is better than that

We are a growing family who share good stories and ideas

To make changes in our world

That separates HubPages from other companies

To often people are taken for granted

I know money is hard to come by

Please tell me if I am wrong

Maybe I read the information on my screen to fast and I missed something

It happens and I will be the first to appologize

I made an honest mistake

For those companies that want to be honest and offer money

Warning:Filling out this questionaire will not guarantee you any money unless you are lucky

Just like winning the lottery

If you want to try your luck

Go ahead but remember I told you so

Please feel free to tell me if this has happened to you

Have a good night and read all the small print

Before you give an amazing offer a try

shiningirisheyes I just want to believe and that one thought leads me to get fooled again. Now I will read all your comments before I am so gullable next time.Live and learn. When I see the next tempting offer I will ask all of you what do you think??Then I can have full support when I hit delete, delete, delete.suzzycue Wow that is amazing.I never would imagine spam finding its way to me.Whew now I can let HubPages off the hook.I didn't want to believe. But I had little proof otherwise. Now I can go back and enjoy my HubPage family even more.Thanx again for the insight and knowledge that takes me to places I would of never reached. At least in this century.Have a great day.

Dream On watch what you type in to the seach bar. If you misspell a word then a survey will come up. The same thing happens if you misspell all the big names like twitter, facebook, amazon, barnelsandnobles, ect. You never get the prizes this is how they collect your email address so they can spam you advertising. It probably is not facebook or even hubpages doing the survey just someone getting your personal information to use unfortunately.

We've all been sucked into these money schemes. I only saw through the transparency after falling for it like you did. I would venture to guess anyone not admitting to having fallen for it isn't being very honest.

Gypsy Rose Lee You think it would be a good way for companies to find customers and get a sale at a later date.Easy customers right at their finger tips.I guess you can't trust any of them unless someone else has found the good companies and are willing to share.Thanx so much.

Those kind of things will always get you. I don't accept unknown offers anymore because they all don't guarantee anything. The last one I fell for a long time ago said fill this out and at the end you will instantly be eligible for some money I forgot how much but enough to get my interest. I filled it out and they wanted me to pay money and I deleted it all. lol

DREAM ON...I am sure there will be a least one person that will answer that they have NEVER had a bad experience with these soon as they press post comment they will" burst into flames " you said if it" sounds too good to be true "..then shame on you..the only way you'll ever receive a large sum of $ is win the Lottery, or wait till a very wealthy relative dies ( and they have no one but you ) thoughts from my mind....nite !

DREAM ON...OMG..been there done that..don't feel like the " lone ranger "..I once spent 45 minutes filling out one of those and got to the end and it asked me to put in my cell phone # so they could send me a text to move to the next step..I did as they asked..then dawned on me I don't have text in my contract, as I don't use the way it was the longest 45 minutes of my life..I gave birth to my children in less time....oop's I did it again..loved the hub..I'm still chuckling...
