I Know How To Make The Snow Disappear

Updated on February 13, 2017

Go On Vacation So We Don't See It Anymore

Every year winter comes

With it we say please no snow

Then we act surprised

When it snows

We shake our heads

Say snow like it's a foreign word

Then everyone talks about it

How many inches ?

When is it suppose to start

It's a Nor Easter

We are going to get a lot

Big snow flakes mean only a couple of inches

Many people decide to stay in

If they don't have to go out

Grab your shovel and rock salt

Be careful driving

Black ice means slippery roads

Not everybody is unhappy

Before a snow storm

People rush out to the nearest grocery store

Standing in long lines leaving many shelves and the bread isle almost empty

The ski places and plow guys are left smiling

As the bright white snowflakes fall from the sky

Little kids bundled up in their snowsuits

Running and falling in the snow for the first time

Gypsy Rose Lee Snow brings so many feelings that are expressed in all different ways. I like to play in the snow and pretend I am a kid again. It is an important part of nature.Thank you for all your comments. It took me awhile to get to them. One reason I have been busy shoveling.(lol) The other reason when it snows I like to crawl under my blanket and sleep late.

Delightful poetry. I have to admit that the first days of a fresh fallen snow are delightful, the next few have me wanting to dance with the snowflakes and the rest have me dreaming of spring again.

Michael-Milec These are conversations I hear each day from different people I meet. To me snow is wonderful and refreshing. I will go back to elaborate more. Thank you for reading and sharing. I agree with you and loved your ending.

Such a nice piece of poetry.

Why I was expecting more? Snow is a four letter word.

More or less stormy or calmly

      always welcomed

      always free of charge

      to some degree

      our muscles skill

      rewards with sweat

      balncing health

      much joy at the end.
