I May Never Have

Updated on February 19, 2012

I long for something I may never have

Wishing, I pray for a future

To hold within my arms

A chance for something better

And more than I am myself

Tears fall by the dozen

Filled with questions and no answers

Am I too wicked to make something good?

Are my past transgressions that unforgivable?

Patience is a virtue I know that much is true

But how long can I wait for this

An answer that may never come

Leaving only questions far too much to bear

Thank you for your comment! It brings me comfort to know that my words can be relatable to others. I by nature am by no means a patient person so yes, waiting is very much tormenting haha

I could have written this myself. I can feel and relate to your words with all my heart. Patience is a virtue, but the waiting is tormenting. Thank you for sharing this! hugs.
