A Soothing One For You, my Dear Friend

Prayer

Source

I prayed for Light;

He cascaded rainbows, of ever-effulgent beauty.

I prayed for Liberation;

My heart sang sweetly, as I felt the thrills of Grace.

I prayed for Peace;

The Beloved embraced me,

With the stillness of a trillion dawns.

I asked for the supernal minstrels;

Sweet silent melodies echoed in my Core.

I prayed for Love,

The Beloved kissed my Soul sweetly;

I saw the face of Infinity, as we became One.

I prayed for Delight;

I knew only the birthless and deathless joy of Spirit.

      You did a remarkable sonnet here for Jan, Manatita. I'm sure you sent her gliding on cloud 10. She deserves it. I'm so happy for her that I could write one for her too... God bless!

      OMG. I'm speechless, jaw hung open wide for 2 minutes. You dedicated a poem hub to me? Oh, I'm humbled beyond . . . . I don't know . . . measure. I just checked the title to make sure. Yep, you did. How do I say thank you for such a generous gift? This poem says so much about God's all-embracing love. I read it 3 times. I'm touched by this, manatita44. Just lovely. Do I vote on something written for me? But of course! Voted up and beautiful. :)
