I Rather Be Tickled Than Tackled

Updated on January 22, 2014

Like I Had A Choice

Growing up had it's aches and pains

Being the youngest sometimes was not all that easy

Having three older brothers was always a challenge

They each had their own personalities and style

Each so different than the other

I learned so many things from all of them

Being a family was the most important to me

Years later we all have gone our separate ways

Our childhood is only a memory

That comes in and fades without without notice

We have all managed to grow older and move on

What I do remember was when my brothers and I horsed around

Being tackled and tickled at the same time

Yelling get off me

I give I give

But really wanting it no other way

Staying close and sharing the fun life had to offer

Life was not about winning or losing

It was about playing and having fun

Now if there is one thing I can pass on to my children

It would be to enjoy the people you love the most

Because they are the ones who care the most

So very true because later on down the line you are going to miss these people when they are no longer around.

Your thoughts in this Hub "Dream On" are so true...Childhood memories...I just recently lost a "Step Sister"....we were 6 months apart with the SAME first name, Barbara R. and Barbara K. and now I laugh, and cry a little, reliving the memories of our childhood.

      Voted UP, and Beautiful.
