I Rather Hurt Than Feel Nothing At All

Updated on February 19, 2012

Acrostic Poetry

I lay in the darkness

Remembering your kiss

Aching from memories I remiss

Telling myself its not over

Hoping to capture that four leaf clover

Every breath I labor, sigh

Reluctant to exhale, scared to cry

Holding my breath  silence within

Unwilling to try you can't come in

Repeated moments in my mind

Twisted thoughts entertwined

Thank you for the memories

Haunting me every day

Asking God to help me, I would pray

No more pain or helpless stowaway

Feeling helpless, incomplete

Ended love so summer sweet

Evening passes I sit unknown

Leaving footprints in paving stone

Never feeling, never healing

Overpowered while not dealing

Taking what I can

However the master plan

I never will forgive you

numbing pain

Going insane

After all has slowly passed

The memory will always last

All the pain

Love in vain

Longing to feel that summer rain

hi dori - i've missed you :( forgiveness is for us - not them. loved it though. it's a true reflection of the human spirit and sorrow it chooses.
