I Relax And Write My Day Away

Updated on September 7, 2017

There Is No Time Schedule

It is early in the afternoon

There are little children playing next door

I sit at my kitchen table and type

Looking high above my head at the rolls of puffy clouds

White with a hint of grey on the sides and underneath

Feeling the gentle touch of a light breeze

As the tree tops sway

I move along with my day

My wife has gone to lunch with an old friend

I eat my way through a bowl of cantaloupe and watermelon pieces

Each dripping with juice and a lovely flavor

Many people wish to do many things

I am happy at home resting comfortably in my wooden chair

With a padded pillow under my butt

I listen to the wind chimes play

They chime perfectly from so soft then really loud at times

I close my eyes and think

Holding my hands together as to prey

What do I owe this great honor to

Each breath of air so fresh

How blessed am I

To have a day of rest

Terrie Lynn Each day can be filled with over whelming joy. It is up to us to do the things that bring us the most satisfaction. Here are some of the key ingredients that work for me. I like to be comfortable usually at home and like to be quiet. I enjoy giving my mind time to think of what it remembers to be so important. Then I just let my mind speak. No matter if it makes sense or not. The freedom of expressing myself and the joy I once experienced can be relived as often as I want and my mind reacts the same way. It is my own form of virtue reality. I know how much I loved it once and all the work is done for me. Now all I have to do is key into those marvelous thoughts and let my mind escape to that time. I am not under any obligation to say or do anything. If it feels right I explore my feelings. A verbal meditation if you will. My original thought is to relive the very special feelings and encourage more of the same. I find there are no words that I know of for some feelings. So I writing my own script to my life. There are times my thoughts go in a whole different direction that I didn't even expect. Real life enters into the picture at any time and gives me more fuel for the fire. I honestly believe most people miss the point. We forget all the great we already have and keep searching for more. Little do we know we have had it all along. I know life is precious and not be wasted on the times, places, people that make me unhappy. No matter what I was taught or made to believe. Here is just a little more insight into the far corners of my mind. Thank you for reading and sharing.
