I Rub My Eyes

Updated on January 24, 2014

To Look Once More

Our life is full of surprises

Until we see them they are nothing

They neither move us

Nor excite us

When we see something for the first time

It is an awakening that we never forget

An awe we can't pause

Live the life you want

With every chance you get

Pushing yourself beyond your old limits

It doesn't get any better than that

So when your day is done

You gave it your all for the whole day

The way no one else could

Enjoy that feeling

Remember all your emotions

For it is what life is made of

The ups,. downs and all the things in between

So as you read these words

Put them to memory

Go and be proud of everything you try to do

It's not meant to be perfect just a start to bigger and better things

This is a competition

That everyone who enters wins

So come win with me

Jodah Thank you for following me. I enjoy both Harishprasad's and your poems. You each have your own flair that I appreciate.I look forward to reading many more.I think it is any writers dream to have someone appreciate their thoughts expressed in their work.I am honored and I was happy to write just one poem and I guess words got the best of me.I got carried away. Once I started I couldn't stop. Each day I wonder if it will be my last. Then by my imagination, love for life, God, luck ,creativity and all the other factors I have left out another poem comes to life.Thank you for reading and sharing your kind thoughts and taking the time to comment.
