I See You

By Tony DeLorger © 2011

You are my breath,

and I inhale you

until my mind is saturated,

imbued with your essence.

Where I stop and you begin is unclear,

and I am whole within you,

and you within me.

You stand before me,

and I see you,

for all you are and want to be,

and I want that too.

Love does not explain you, me,

for we are something else, more.

Our cells mingle, meld,

and I recognise you beyond me,

inside me,

and I am full,

overwhelmed by your presence,

you are like a mist flowing through me,

nowhere and everywhere.

Your touch is like lightning,

yet gentle as a snowflake,

my body transfixed,

my mind sharply focused.

I see you,

like glass, like a shimmering star,

endless, inspiring, enduring,

and I am lost within your love,

within your soul.

Skin to skin, mind to mind,

soul to soul,

we are what we have been,

what we will be,

as life eternal.

I have found you.

Very passionate love poem, reminiscent of Song of Solomon. Oh to be in lust again haha!
