I Trod The Road Alone Today
In Our Time, We Walk This Day Once.
I walked that lonely path today, the path I have trodden in many ways,
For in my head it seems to say, 'Look right into that golden light,'
the one that shines, oh so bright, it lifts our spirit but bows our head,
For all at once we are simply led, in the direction from whence we came,
to rest upon his golden frame.
To gaze from afar whilst wishing on that fallen star,
to shout his name, in truth and delight, without fear well into the night.
His name is God, for those who believe, and for those that don't, remember Eve,
temptress that she was gave woman a bad name,
but cunningness was her middle game.
Now all you young men listen well, for what I shall tell may save you from hell.
Beauty is but only skin deep, brains are forever, and hope to always keep,
Don't be mislead by wanton moves, curvy hips and the ones that grove.
Look instead at the face, the lovingness and the grace, Kind eyes and angelic smile,
more deserved than running those miles.
Only one man knows who serves us dear, one mans destiny filled with fear.
A shinning example of true love, boys don't betray him with foolish pride.
In his heart he reaches out to us, with golden splendour that speaks of love.,
and kindness from the heart he doth say, least all become sinners one day.
Exchange your vows for wedded bliss, but listen to your heart like this,
For Adam was lead astray by Eve, still life's disasters we must heed.
Young men choose wisely in your mate, staying unhappy is such a long date.
Let children be born to those who love, and not live in purgatory least God above
In pure concern call them home, to be protected and not live alone..
