I Used to Love You

Updated on June 7, 2012

Where did you go,

What happened here

You were always there,

when I needed you near

The many different variations,

of the spoken words,

written down, they are not....

what you always heard

It's far different now,

I must move on

the crowd ain't the same,

the great poems are gone

You were my best friend,

on those dreary days

I depended on you

in so many ways

My lover... has changed

she 's just not for me.....

I hope she understands

this is how it must be.

To write for you, my love

I can't do it no more.

yes, it is too late.....

I have closed the door

Michael, quite sad, emotional poem. Beautifully written. You are a great talent (don't even think of closing the door, we'll come in numbers and smash it to pieces, you know, that kind of stuff. We are the force not to forget, nothing can stop your loyal followers =)) Stay well, don't give up! I think, there is something in the air. It keeps popping up here and there, this dreadful melancholy bug. Everything will be fine as long as you won't surrender!

Oh where is Michael? Oh, I think I see him emerging into a flower from a long long stint in the cocoon. Now is the time for life. Fly.

Yes, there's something always honest about your poetic words. This one even more so albeit without pictures. Voted up and all.

Love love is sometimes hard to forget. We probably do get stronger from the experience as we continue forward.

Michael, I'm so sorry you feel this way. Your poem is very sad and heartfelt. perhaps the 'person' you feel broke your heart has other issues pulling at her...you are a great writer, a sensitive and passionate poet, and, I hope, a friend...take care. dotti

      Michael,

A profound despondently poem, nevertheless, words expressed so eloquently they touched my heart.

As a great poet and writer I know you are too talented to lose your need to write.

I am waiting for a happy love poem---all your fans are waiting.

      Your Hub Friend,

      Bobbi

The end of anything is sad, the end of a relationship goes beyond sad. This is a beautiful, to the point poem that I'm sure a lot of people can relate to. Voted up and beautiful.
