"I Used to See Giants" by Eric Wayne Flynn

"I Used to See Giants"

I used to see giants

Looming shadows

Immovable mountains

Golden rulers making rules of gold for all to behold

I; coloring inside the lines

Trying to keep up with the times

A coward growing a set

Victimized, molested by the message

Told what to think, when to think it, how to think it and where

The Jonse's gotta keep up with me now, I boast, I dare

The giants challenge me now

Brave, courageous, possessed and how

Will I find a way to be free from the giant I've become

Commanding the best from myself

Pumping up my ego

Pounding the pavement

Casting silhouettes against the houses of rich men

Laughing, running and stomping through their yards

Playing my charade

Manhunt, hiding in my best spot

Enjoying the night sky on stand by

Waiting for the next move

Back to playing games

Off the bench

Well coached by life

Going big or going home

Either way I win

Game on!

They hunt the man that wouldn't hurt a fly

Where I used to see giants

I see bugs buzzing and flying around my head

Tempting thing it is to take a swipe

Oh I love this one...now you are the giant and everyone else is bugs. they better beware. I like the line, "The Jonse's gotta keep up with me now". Voted up.
