I Will Sing Hallelujah, Now! (Poem)

Updated on September 18, 2013

I've traveled down a long dark tunnel,

Walking towards the light,

All the darkness is subsiding

Gradually fading is the night,

I can see eternity!

Illumination so clear and pure

An apparition through the spectrum,

Liken unto a telescopic probe,

Wait! There is a vision

The revelation of the end to and of sin,

Sin is finally o’er, and

It has put on its last show,

Ruined its last life

No! I am not in oblivion,

I speak the truth,

I am very aware

Of the consequences of sin,

The penalty is very clear to me,

I realize what the ramifications,

Of apostasy spell out,

But, I will sing my Hallelujah, now!

Never to see sin's ole dirty face again

What more can I ask for,

Because of Jesus Christ, and

The price He paid to ransom

Our souls so that sin has

No more dominion!

Sin is not without recompense,

But, sin will be no more! Hallelujah!

Sin has spoiled every real chance

Of holistic fulfillment in this life,

Life without sin is a mighty high ideal!

It is the highest thought

My mind has ever had to fathom,

What completion, and sheer perfection

Join me in sweet refrain,

Shout your Hallelujah!

I will sing Hallelujah, now!

If you’ve accepted Jesus Christ

As your Eternal Lord,

Living daily in His presence

Even though eternity seems to be

So far, far, away,

The Holy Spirit alongside you

The Word of God providing the inner sight,

Then you can also see beyond today, and

That subsequently following

This life, and time, is eternity,

The silhouette of mystery revealing, how

God will create all things brand new,

I will sing Hallelujah, today!

I am no longer swindled in time

Nor robbed of my ability to think, feel, or see,

The completeness God

Has planned for you and me,

Absolute thanks and praise,

I give to Jesus Christ!

From the depth of my heart,

For making this journey endurable,

The harm and intent of sin

Has plagued the world globally, and

This robbery has been perpetuated on every creature,

Time, and sin are in its last episode

Sin didn't have any favorites,

I know, I was not one of its grandchildren

Surely all creation groans together,

Waiting for the manifestation,

Of the sons and daughters of God

I am looking forward to that one eternal now!

When we all will sing, Hallelujah, forever!

Until then, I will sing Hallelujah now!
