I WISH I WAS A PEA

Updated on March 3, 2010

As Green As Green Can Be

You might not notice me on the shelf

I am quite famous passed around in every house

I am eaten every week by millions of mouths

I roll across your tongue and bring back all the fun

When you were young

I am just like everyone else and I blend right in

No need to worry I feel quite at home

With a little water I will be roaming around

Eaten by the spoonful

Sometimes with meat and other times with mashed potatoes

I am rolled into an appetizing treat

I may be small but I am quite admired for my style

I am always the same cute shape

Nothing lame or to wild

I am what you expect a pea to be

Perfectly round and squashed if you are not careful

A bitesize treat for even kids to eat

I will definitely give it a try.I just started eating honey.A friend told me that if you have a teaspoon of local honey a day it works wonders for allergies.I had minor allergies and I started taking claritin.I don't need it at all since I began eating the honey.

i once took a boyfriend home, and my mum served him peas. He did not eat them, so of course my mum assumed he was a spoilt child.... he told my mum they were irrelevant... so up to her dying day, my mum still calls peas irrelevant, she thought it was so funny...... she never did quite get used to her son in law really.

Carolina muscle The first thing my mother said when she read my hub, is what about pea soup?I could never get over the looks of the color green in the soup but I love my peas.

I adore this poem, it is really cute and I think I also would like to be a pea, or a fly sitting on the shelf. I am a fan, really great hub...

I remember a restaurant out in California somewhere near San Franscisco that specialized in split pea soup... it was so big out there they always had a line to get in.

Me, no peas is my plea. LOL
