Seasons Greetings with Love and Beauty

I wanted to blossom, like sweet-scented lavender flowers,

Cascading fragrances, like roses, into the Hearts of all.

But the Beloved filled me with the joy of sweet Sacrifice.

I longed for the coming of my sunrise;

To unfurl an expanse of beauty, like sails,

Elegantly dancing with the breeze.

But I saw the face of Da Vinci’s Mona,

Smiling the smile of the unutterable,

At the illumined gateway of a shimmering Light.

I wanted to shine with the Light of Heaven,

But the Beloved touched me with the Breath of Love.

I became inebriated,

Swaying from the supernal wine of Lovers,

Crested and garlanded, with Perennial Delight. – Manatita.

Very touching contribution. Yours is equally sweet. Why don't you visit?

This is a most wonderful sentiment, and I do hope that Dora sees it when she returns. Gratitude ...much.

Yes, the Mona Lisa and MsDora both have secrets behind those lovely smiles, don't they? You have a rare gift manatita44. You draw comparisons, express feelings, and convey complex ideas with beautiful poetry so simple a child could get something out of it, so multilayered it inspires rereading and contemplation. At the center is a beautiful heart that longs to make the rest of world more beautiful, too. Thank you for that because you do.

      My Beloved Dee,

Your gratitude and admiration is more than enough. I crave our Oneness-Hearts far more than I desire your sweet poetry. Again, this prose that you have just written, is filled with the ambrosial sweetness of heavenly Delight. So do not worry.

So happy that you visited at this time. I'm sure you have noted how loved you are by others also. Glory be!

Of course, Dora inspired this exquisite sonnet because of who she beautifully is. This was very deserving for such a beautiful lady. Great writing sir.

Manatita, lavender is a special fragrance for me, and your use of it here has to be more than a coincidence.

Thanks for these beautiful lines in dedication. I sincerely love the message of sweet surrender to the light of heaven; for in the end what God gives is truly a richer version of what we request, if we can understand it.

I have great admiration for your work. I covet your gift, only because if I had the ability, I would compose similar lines in dedication to you. My gratitude is as deep as it can possibly be. Love and blessings!

I know, my Sweet Shauna I've been here six years and she has helped me in many ways. I do believe that she was my first real Friend here on Hub Pages. I have dedicated more Hubs to her than anyone else, and some other inputs also. We are also neighbours. Great, eh?

Thank you so much, my Dear Friend. Sending some more Love and laughter coming your way. Send some for me too.

"I longed for the coming of my sunrise"....this is really beautiful writing, my friend. Take a simple sentence and make it beautiful....that gift cannot be comes naturally to those gifted, as you are.
