I am a Refugee from The turmoil in Egypt

Updated on April 8, 2012

I am a refugee

I know I am a burden

I am living on the kindness of family

My own home is in turmoil

I wish so much to go home!

But, to stay was wrong

And to leave heartbreaking

I did nothing to cause the chaos

I wish I was invisible, I try to be

I do not need looks of pity

I do not need lectures or advice

I have no self-pity , just wish to be understood

I am not here to cause problems

I wish people would understand, that I simply want to go back home.

But I am a Refugee

And all I have is at home

The home I love

And I WILL return there!

Thank you for shedding light on the issue many find themselves; seeking refuge in other countries while trying to hold on to a sense of dignity. Well done.

God did not cause the problems in my home country, nor were they caused by differences between religions.

They were caused by men, or rather one man followed by others .

We are all refugees in a sense. Take refuge in God , all lands belong to them.

Voted up and useful. Without walking in your shoes, I can only imagine the pain of leaving my mother land. "No" it isn't your fault you had to leave and hopefully things will be markedly improved the day you can return.
