I am realistic

Updated on April 23, 2013

I am not a swallow
I will be queasy
if I ride the sky coaster

I am a turtle
I like to take it slow
on the ground.

Ps.Sorry if I hurted you,
that's the way I am

I really enjoyed this poem. nice and simple but with meaning. I always take it slow. look before i leap. And always stare a gift house in the mouth, and check to see if it has shoe's too. lol

@DanaTeresa, two steps forward, one step back is good strategy if we want to achieve our goals. The slowness is the essence of knowledge.

I am glad to hear that you are back on your feet and things start to look up .Your father and his wife are very nice and great .May God prolong their lives.

This is so cute, and profound.

You have captured me exactly! Slow and steady. My father has recently given me the pet name "baby steps". he and his wife are helping me get my life back on order after job loss and failing health. They are being very patient as long as I am trying.

Nothing wrong with slow and steady. Why rush if it does not become you. Thank you for this!!!

James, I enjoyed the two metaphors you used perhaps to measure the space, time and pace that you would like to work at on anything. Though devoted to your cause you choose your own pace because you prefer to be slow and steady like a turtle rather than making a promise you cannot keep.
